History of the School
RV was built on the ruins of a private school for boys that was abandoned at the time of the Civil War. The school was ready for occupancy in 1937. The board was elected in 1935. The school itself was originally named Mount Holly High. It was not until the 1960's that the school was known as Rancocas Valley High School. As student occupancy increased, additions to the original structure were made in 1947, 1953, 1957, 1962, 1965. Additional renovations and some modernization took place in the late 1980's. An additional wing, upgrades and new athletic fields have been added during the past five years.

The district encompasses approximately 40 square miles and comprises the townships of Eastampton, Hainesport, Lumberton, Mount Holly, and Westampton. Mount Holly is the county seat for Burlington County. The current population of the school is around 2,300 students.
