Private Tutoring (Grade 12 only)
Only seniors may arrange for private tutoring for credit recovery for a failed course. Underclassmen are not eligible for grade improvement from a private tutor.
Dear Parent/Guardian:
Private tutoring is available for current seniors only (class of 2010) to use as an alternative to our summer completion program. It is very important, however, that you read through the attached materials carefully so you and your child fully understand the terms of the tutoring program. Please make special note of the following:
1. A student must have a minimum course average of 60
and no more than 15 days absent from the course to be
eligible for credit through private tutoring.
2. A signed copy of the tutoring contract and a copy of
the tutor’s New Jersey Teaching Certificate for each
content area in which he/she is tutoring, must be on file
with the Director of Guidance prior to the delivery of
any tutoring services. Rancocas Valley teachers must
also return the tutoring contract prior to the delivery
of any tutoring services.
3. Tutoring services must be completed by July 29th
for a student to receive credit.
