Renaissance Program
Rancocas Valley Regional high school introduced the Renaissance
Program to students and staff in the spring of 2001. Fifty-six students
were nominated and received awards during the first annual People’s
Choice Awards Night, which honored students for everything from academic
accomplishments to good deeds and hard work. Parents, teachers and
community members who attended the event experienced firsthand the power
of Renaissance.
What
is Renaissance?
Renaissance
is a positive way in which students; staff and
communities perceive and approach education.
Renaissance
is a proven,
viable solution to scholastic challenges faced by today’s students. It
is a powerful, innovative program designed by students and staff to
promote and recognize academic achievement is schools like ours across
the country.
Renaissance
helps
students experience the true joy of learning, recognizes educators as
dedicated and valued professionals, and increases the involvement of
parents and businesses.
Renaissance
is a
nationwide movement designed to recognize and reward academic
excellence, good attendance, and good school citizenship. Educators and
partners in the business community join forces to provide incentives for
students to improve grades, increase school spirit, and eliminate
disciplinary incidents.
Who can be a part of Renaissance?
All students and staff at Rancocas Valley Regional High School can take part in this program.
When does Renaissance begin?
The Renaissance academic card program is based on each marking
period. Freshman will begin receiving their academic cards after the
first marking period and then after each consecutive marking period (i.e.
the first marking period you might earn a blue card but during the second
you could earn a gold card).
